muzopia has sweated blood,tears and coffee to bring you an incite into the twisted working of his shallow life, muzopia is not here to rip you off with some shit song that sells drink products, muzopia gives you songs from the real world, music without the smell of rotten flesh, a sound that is so unsellable that its sell-able

Celebration for the Five years of Muzopia

Celebration time here at muzopia Hq

It’s now been five years, since muzopia’s debut track (part three insane) and the band name registration, i am more than happy, in fact i am over the moon for this is a great achievement,

For me personally i had my fingers crossed i would last, but never thought i would.Its now one of those times when i can sit back and say done that! And i have the t-shirt to prove it.There have been a few moments of doubt but too few to be bothered about, miner setbacks

Things have changed this year i became a volunteer helping people with brain injuries, i call “the forgotten people “who after a long stay in hospital and rehab are left to get on with life. The charity i help gives them lots of support, years after their injury and helps them rebuild their lives.

To be honest it’s the support we all assume they get from the government, they don’t, and they are just numbers in the ever increasing unemployment lists.

Also i am now a student at a local collage, not learning music but I.T.C. without computers i would never have got off the ground, so yeh! i have been busy and these changes are has a direct effect of muzopia. five years ago i would not of done any of this, just talking to people we learn so much about our self’s.

So what’s new for muzopia you ask! I have just forwarded a song to help the Japanese in this miserable moment in their history, its wait and see time for that and i will tell you more has things unfold. I have a few songs in the making too and should start releasing one of them soon.

My plans to go live have been shelved yet again funding is needed and we are all in the same boat so it can wait. Muzopia will continue on and on.

Run is a surreal song, it could just as easily been called “trapped “but it’s not
Because when you feel boxed in by everything around you and you have nowhere to turn
All you can do is run, where do you run to is the big question? Maybe that’s another song?
I personally like the way the song turned out, the idea was to make the song catchy and memorable, i feel it the song actives that very well.

A big thank you to all the fans and friends and the others, who have supported Muzopia through 2010. I wish you all a very happy holiday season.

Last year 2010
After a big rethink earlier this year, i closed many Muzopia sites and concentrated all my time on the few that were left, well i am happy to say “Whoopi ! ITS BEEN A GREAT SUCCESS”
All my new releases are via reverbnation now. This with a change in genre to alternative Has paid off.
I don’t really think Muzopia as a real fixed genre , but the music business demands one.
This was a big risk for me personally, it could have been very different.
But muzopia reached number one in the local chart and number 10 in the national chart.
This means a lot to me and gives me the incentive to keep doing more and more.
As long has Muzopia music is played that’s all that matters.

The Birth with thanks
Muzopia’s first song was “part three insane” back in 2006
This came about because of Stuart Stevens Who introduced me back into music in 2005
And Vicki butler who said “go try myspaces and see what happens ” i said no” and then “ok”
My heart is still with MYspaces and the many people who i got to know so well.
I hope with their new improvements myspaces can get back to being what they used to be.
After all Muzopia would not be here if it was not for them.

The New year 2011 new song releases
Muzopia will be back in the new year with “Dirty War (give me peace)” and will be released via reverbnation and be playable on most Muzopia sites.

The words were completely inspired by Alan Redmond’s Track “Released”
From his Reverbnation page, The track is a master piece in its own right.
All his tracks are well worth a play or three.

My interpretation of the song
Like coffee it came in an instant, i just started singing a long, Then i quickly started to write it down. when the foundations are solid, it’s so easy the build from, and man the foundations are so solid, the words fell from my pen.

Its the story of a guy who is in a very good relationship, but feels he needs more
He loves her and that love can never be broken, a war breaks out in his head.
Its the girl of his dreams or a life without commitments to become free
Over time she has become a part time lover, reduced to second in line to his dream.

a couple of days ago i was watching a you-tube of yoko Ono
and i thought, what would i say if i could write to John Lennon
well first i would have to thank him for all he did in his short life
and for the many people he inspired,and the countless other things he gave people
the biggest thing he gave me was simple (love and be loved), once you have that you don't need anything else.

so yes love, is the answer and love is, the question too
if you want to make excuses and say money is more important, then you be a millionaire with no friends, no family and see just how hard live can be.
i would rather be has i am with the love of my family and not exchange it for all the money in the world.

the point is how do you thank a man who gave me such a gift
tell the world how great he was, but they all know, and he would be embarrassed
sing one of his songs, well that's has been done a billion times
well the only way i could find, was to write about him, in the only way i know how,
in a song

i did not forget yoko without her he may not of found true love.
she was the one with the knitting needles every man should have one.

The muzopia tubecast is now on youtube and it was great fun to do.radio without music on video and its very very silly and its in two parts, best watch part one first.

New Song, New Video called - The system -
After the tubecast i made a new video and a new song in one, sounds odd
I recorded the video while i recorded the vocals the song, you can see the vocals recording in the back ground and the video is one take, no edits
